Law Firm Foster Pepper Deploys Levit & James’ Best Authority Table of Authorities Software
LEESBURG, Va. – October 26, 2010 – Levit & James, Inc. today announced that Foster Pepper PLLC (www.foster.com), a law firm with offices in Seattle and Spokane, Wash., has successfully deployed its Best Authority® software, which assists the firm in efficiently generating a highly accurate Table of Authorities (TOA).
Foster Pepper began looking for a new TOA-creation software application because the firm was increasingly unhappy with the unreliable Cite-It program that used Word’s native functionality to mark the citations. According to Foster Pepper IT Director, Lucas Clara: “The old process was time consuming, required too many manual steps and was prone to errors. Attorneys and staff were ready for a change and a better way to create a TOA.”
The firm reviewed the methods and tools most recommended by the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and the Toledo Group (a national network of independent law firms), and decided that Best Authority was the ideal software for their needs. The software worked so well that the firm rolled it out within a month of kicking off the pilot program.
