Levit & James’ Latest Best Authority Version Enables Easier Collaboration with Co-counsel
LEESBURG, Va. – January 26, 2011 – Levit & James, Inc. (www.levitjames.com) today announced that its Best Authority Table of Authorities (TOA) production software, used by 65 of the 100 largest U.S. law firms, can now convert its internal coding to native Microsoft TOA formatting, for easy collaboration with co-counsel who only have access to native Word’s TOA features.
Levit & James will be demonstrating the Best Authority-to-Word conversion process next week at LegalTech New York at booth 505, January 31-February 2.
Fletcher James, President of Levit & James and Chief Development Officer said, “Best Authority has significantly more features than native Word for both building and formatting a Table of Authorities, which is why the majority of the 250 largest U.S. law firms are using Best Authority instead of Word. However, there are times when our customers need to share a document with co-counsel who only have access to native Word’s TOA features. This conversion removes the Best Authority fields from the document and replaces them with Word TA fields. Once you have converted to native Word, anyone can use the built-in Word features to edit or mark additional citations and to generate a TOA in the document.
The new version is available now to all Best Authority customers with Software Subscription Service.
