(www.levitjames.com), provider of Best Authority®, announces it will be showing a Customer Technology Preview (CTP) of Best Authority 3.0 at LegalTech New York ’12 next week from Monday, Jan. 30th – Wednesday, Feb. 1st at booth #518. The CTP version of Best Authority 3.0 will be officially released to customers on Monday, February 6th, kicking off the first phase of its beta program.
Best Authority is the legal industry’s leading tool for creating a Table of Authorities (TOA) - the software is used by 74 of the 100 largest U.S. law firms. Best Authority 3.0 represents a substantial leap forward for the technology, featuring a significantly faster citation scan, a new Ribbon interface inspired by MS Office, and streamlined editing features.

Remarkable speed – The citation scan is 4 to 20 times faster than in Version 2. It takes less than two minutes to scan 235 pages with 4,000 Citations, with all Citations marked, Authorities formatted, and the Draft Review Pane open for TOA proofing and editing. Review functions process almost instantaneously.
Ribbon Interface – Keeping pace with Microsoft Office technology, Best Authority provides a ribbon interface in Microsoft Word, which is much more intuitive and user-friendly, and reduces training time.
